Priority Mail International® service is a reliable, cost-effective way to send documents and merchandise to more than 180 countries. Priority Mail International offers outstanding value and is priced lower than our competition's published rates for international shipping.

  • Accepted at all United States Postal Service® retail locations (and can be deposited at all Post Office™ facilities, USPS® blue collection box, and given to letter carriers).

  • Priority Mail International labels begin with two letters ("CA-CC", "CE-CZ", and "HA-HZ") followed by nine numbers and the 2-letter country code of originating country, located in the upper left-hand corner of the receipt.

Pricing

Save money!

  • A discount up to 5% is available to customers who purchase postage through authorized PC Postage vendors (except Click-N-Ship).

Extra Services Available

Insurance
  • Insurance is included for all PMI shipments. 
  • Additional insurance may be purchased. Fees for additional insurance vary depending on the amount of coverage and country
  • Items are insured against loss, rifling, or damage for Priority Mail International items containing merchandise. Items containing only nonnegotiable documents are insured against loss, damage, or missing contents for document reconstruction.
  • Insurance availability, limitations, and coverage varies depending on the destination country. See the International Mail Manual and the International Postage Price Calculator for additional information.

Insurance

Insurance is included for all Priority Mail International shipments*. At no additional charge, Priority Mail International items containing merchandise are insured up to $200 while PMI items with non-negotiable documents are insured up to $100. You can purchase additional merchandise insurance up to the maximum amount allowable for the destination country. However, that amount cannot exceed $5,000.

If the item has been delivered to the addressee, payment for damage and missing contents is made to the sender unless the sender waives the right to payment, in writing, in favor of the addressee.

Flat Rate Envelopes and Flat Rate Boxes

Flat Rate postage options for Priority Mail International have a fixed price up to a maximum weight limit. That price for Flat Rate Envelopes and Flat Rate Boxes varies among the different price groups.   • Sealed Against Inspection

    Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelopes and Flat Rate Boxes are not sealed against inspection. Regardless of physical closure and item, the mailing of any Priority Mail International item constitutes consent by the mailer to inspection of the contents.
    Note: Additional services may determine if a mailpiece is sealed against inspection. For example, any mailpiece that is Free Matter for the Blind is not sealed against inspection.
